Beaches
Seize the opportunity to discover Corfu’s breathtaking beauty
There are two ways to reach the coastline right in front of the villas. You can either walk 250m along the main road or you can take a shortcut, which includes walking through an abandoned hotel. It’s a shorter, but more adventurous walk, people will hate it or love it. The beach is a very long, but narrow beach, with pebbles and natural shadow after 13.00. The sea is clean and usually very calm. It is possible to find a place there to be alone, even in the peak of the season. We love going there, we suggest that you check it on your first day and see if it works for you.
Going southwest you can find Halikounas, Agios Georgios, Marathias, Issos, Gardeno and Prasoudi. They are all sandy beaches with shallow water, ideal for children. Halikounas is a very long sandy beach, its far end can be very remote and peaceful. Prasoudi is a small and quiet beach, the rest have beach bars and in Halikounas you can practice kite surfing. All these beaches are reachable within 20’-30’by car.
Agios Gordios is a 35’ drive going west. A very long sandy beach with many bars and restaurants.
Glyfada, one of the most famous beaches of Corfu, 40’ away, is also sandy and very popular.
The Northern beaches: Palaiokastritsa, also very famous, is a complex of many beautiful beaches with cold water. You can rent a boat to visit some of the most beautiful beaches of the island that are accessible only by boat.
Sidari and Canal d’ amour are also very beautiful and unique, but extremely crowded during high season.
Arillas is a very beautiful sandy beach, with a crowded part and sun beds in the middle and a quieter part on the side, where you can also find clay and have a full face and body beauty treatment.
North East: Agni and Kalami are both beautiful and small beaches. You can swim in Kalami and then take the path that leads to Agni to eat in one of the restaurants.
